group rideout to pick up Dels 850GS from BMW Shrewsbury along with some roads in Wales and the Ponderosa cafe (just before the heavens opened!)

BMW S1000R Bowkers BMW test rides / Helite jacket

 

Derek wanted to test ride a 850GS so the gang suited up for a trip to Bowkers.

I also thought Id take a Gen 3 M1000R out on a test ride while we were there!
Turns out it had 6 miles on it before I took it out, so still on the run in limiter and new tyres! 81 miles when I handed it back and 34/38 lean angles with tyres nicely scrubbed in, lovely bike but frustrating limited to 9krpm


then on the way back tried out some Helite vests at Sportsbike shop
(of note the XL was too small , but a L-L was just right) they didnt have an XL-L to try but i thinkn that would be too big)
Not bought one yet, but LL seems to be the size for me
