Golf gti edition 35 new front tyres : 225/40 R18 92Y Michelin Pilot Sport 4 XL : 29,253 miles

With the weather getting worse, the low tread depth front tyres are showing their limits.  I'm not really a fan of Dunlop Sportmaxx tyres anyway.
So time to change the fronts.
I'm not sure if these are the original tyres from new.  They might be!
So I usually use event tyres but sadly that business has folded.
Went to try tyres on the drive. https://www.tyresonthedrive.com/ Mixed reviews online had me scared.
Had Michelin pilot sport 4 on the edition 30 and they are truly an incredible fast road tyre so a no brainer.
Pilot super sports are available and only slightly more expensive they are even better, but for my needs I don't think they are a requirement for now.
New tyres ordered
Paid for sat morning fitting extra 5.50
Total cost 220 all in
Stefan arrived and got to work.
Needn't have worried, tyres fitted leaving my wheels  unmarked within 30 mins.
Brilliant
Now time to bed them in ( get the releasing agent off ) and see how they fare.

Update few days after

Yep, confirmed what I already knew, PS4 are an incredible tyre, can now deploy full throttle in 1st gear in the wet with almost no slip (previously well worn Dunlop Sportmax would slip in 1st and 2nd). Also lots more steering feel.
Tyres properly balanced as Ive been up to 85mph and no wobbles

brilliant service..

Previously used a trusted fitter Event Tyres but they went bust lately. The wheels on my current car are unmarked and wanted them to stay that way. Reading the reviews I was more than a little worried as most are positive but some less so. However the experience was pretty flawless, i neednt have worried. Tyres were a good price, range (in my size) was broad. Some decent communications, Stefan arrived at the time proposed, completed easily under an hour. Professional, diligent and wheels still perfect.
Cant fault the service, Will definitely use again.
